Steady is designed to be a private, focused tool. To provide its core functionality, we use Google Firebase to power our backend.

• Authentication: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This allows you to use the app without providing an email or name. However, a unique identifier is generated and stored to link your habits and data to your specific device.

• Data Storage: Your habit data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore.

• Cloud Logic: We use Firebase Cloud Functions to process app logic securely.

2. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics suites. Your data is only shared with Google Firebase insofar as it is necessary to provide the service (hosting and database).

3. Data Retention

Because we use Anonymous Authentication, if you delete the app or clear your local cache, you may lose access to your account and data, as there is no email/password linked to recover it. Data remains in our database until it is no longer needed for the service or until a request for deletion is made.

4. Security

We value your trust. All data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted (SSL/TLS). However, please remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Children’s Privacy

Steady does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and aware that your child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can perform the necessary deletions.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.

7. Data Portability

Because Steady uses Anonymous Authentication, your data is tied strictly to your device. If you delete the app, clear your device cache, or switch to a new phone, your data will not be recoverable.
